SUPER SUMMER


Team Leaders (TLs) attending Super Summer are assigned to Schools (age groups) where they serve primarily as small group leaders for students. TLs are responsible for their Team of students throughout the week. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, attending Team Leader Training Weekend the weekend before Super Summer, leading small group discussions, reporting suspicions of abuse or neglect, and attending to the needs of your Team of students.

Serve Requests



Provide one family member reference, one personal reference, one professional reference (former or current supervisor or co-worker; familiar with the quality of your work), and one ministerial reference for a total of four references. One of the references should be a person of the opposite sex. One of the references should be familiar with your interactions with children/youth.

All references should have known you for at least 6 months prior to the date of application. Notify those you list as references that they will receive a Reference Form request, via email, at the time that your application is submitted.

I authorize Baptist General Convention of Texas (“Texas Baptists”), to contact all individuals, organizations and references listed on this application in order to verify the information I have provided. I agree to release from liability any person or organization providing information related to me, including those persons I have listed as references, as well as contact persons from my previous volunteer work or employment with children.
Criminal Background Check
I specifically authorize Baptist General Convention of Texas (“Texas Baptists”) to undertake a criminal background check concerning my past. I understand and agree that any information received from the background check and application verification will not be disclosed to me except as required by law, and I hereby waive any right I may have to inspect any information provided about me by any person or organization identified by me on this form.
 Freedom to Cancel
I understand that I can withdraw my application at any time. I understand that Staff Fees are refundable for the following qualifying cancellation reasons:

- Injury or illness of the attendee
- Death in the family of the attendee
- Event Cancellation

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to registration@supersummer.com. Refunds will be issued at the end of the event season. Enrollment Fees are non-refundable in all circumstances.
Zero Tolerance for Abuse
I understand that Baptist General Convention of Texas (“Texas Baptists”), has a policy of ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ABUSE and takes all allegations of abuse seriously. I further understand that Texas Baptists cooperates fully with the authorities to investigate all cases of alleged abuse. Abuse of any kind is grounds for immediate dismissal from my volunteer position and possible criminal charges.
